- NANCY DREW SHADOW AT THE WATERS EDGE MIWAKOS CAT SERIES
MED didn't have a mystery really, but I did like how it did kind of feel like you were on the Amazing Race. SPY had Nancy's past which was really cool, but I wasn't a big fan of the puzzles. DED has epic music, and a cool premise, but the place was pretty boring. Plus, some parts of the tomb's layout didn't make sense. I loved the setting of TMB, and the characters were fine, though some things require specific triggers and that halted my first playthrough for a long time. My least favorite of the newer games would be.I actually dislike and like equal parts of most of these games. Like, really? Did they not realize that they basically gave the culprit away? Really? (ICE gets a notable mention with Fox and Geese). SCKR ending spoilers HER's advertising ruined the game. I didn't like the puzzles or characters in HAU. RAN is 100% puzzles (and I beat it before another certain game, ruining part of another game, which really ticked me off), and it made George useless. My least favorite middle games are CRE, RAN, HAU, SCKR, and TOT. There is also a big 'get this item from this person, but wait, they need you to get something form someone else first' chain, and it's terrible. With CLK, I hated having to use gas to deliver telegrams to get money to buy gas. I also felt like i wans't really solving a mystery most of the time and just patching up problems in a museum. The setting was small, and I only liked one character. My least favorite older games are SSH and CLK, by far. DED and SPY are also good, and the ending of LIE is superb. It was also about as creepy as I can handle without not being able to sleep at night. I like several of the others, but not as much as GTH. A lot of the characters were petty, which is how teenage girls often are. With WAC, I felt like the characters were realistic (yes, I know a lot of people disagree with this opinion). So, that really drew me in to SAW and CAP.

I like haunted themed games (though not too scary since I'm a wimp). My favorite medium games are WAC, SAW, and CAP. A lot of those games I listed are VERY atmospheric. I think that one is because of the setting and Hilda. I got DDI after I had played several of the older games, so my love for that one isn't as biased. SHA was my third game I played, CUR my fourth. I got a pack of SHA-TRN next, so I played those early as well. Due to that, TRT is my favorite old game (and probably in the whole series). TRT was my first game, and MHM was my second. My favorite old games are TRT, MHM, DDI, SHA, and CUR. Old is SCK-TRN Medium is DAN-CAP New is ASH-SEA
NANCY DREW SHADOW AT THE WATERS EDGE MIWAKOS CAT SERIES
I tend to split the series into old, medium, and new, so I'll go by that. I'm playing through all of my old games first and then I'll try them. I still haven't played Shattered Medallion or any past that. Deadly Device was sooooo boring! It looked like such an interesting game and I was so excited to play it, but I lost interest so early.
NANCY DREW SHADOW AT THE WATERS EDGE MIWAKOS CAT UPDATE
I'm going to try it again soon so I'll update if I change my mind.

I couldn't finish the photograph task after spending 3 hours trying to find different scenes so I quit. Worst new games: Trail of the Twister, Deadly Device I actually haven't finished Trail of the Twister. Silent Spy has really cool cutscenes about Nancy's childhood which I thought was neat. I actually had no idea who the culprit was by the end of it so that was a nice change. The first time I played it, I finished it within 2 hours which is really short for me.īest new games: Captive Curse, Silent Spy Both of these games have interesting storylines and great puzzles. It's not terrible, but the driving around is really annoying. It was the first game I owned so I'm not sure why I kept playing Nancy Drew after that, but I'm glad I did. Worst old games: Kapu Cave, Old Clock Kapu is just kind of a train wreck. Crystal Skull also has interesting puzzles and a neat storyline. It's challenging enough to keep you interested, but you can be more relaxed while playing. Blackmoor has so many cool puzzles and I felt challenged all the way through. All three have such enthralling atmospheres to them. Best old games: Blackmoor Manor, Shadow Ranch, and Crystal Skull.
